CHAPTER 10
ACCORDING
TO THE POWER
Eph.
3:20 “Now unto Him…”
What we are
about to see and experience is “Unto Him.”
It is not to our glory, something we gain to show off. Notice it says “He” is able. So it’s not how we think or feel about
it. You can feel that you aren’t
powerful, yet still have this power.
“Now
unto Him that is able to do exceeding
abundantly…”
So we
established so far that it is not us but He that is able “to do” exceeding
abundantly. Question is, why aren’t we
seeing this in our lives? Reading
further:
“Now
unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…”
What we are
asking for many times is “below” what He will give; thus His is not acting, and
is delaying your limited request. It is
His desire to do “more” than you are asking for, over and above what you are
asking or ever thought of at that moment.
It’s as someone once said, “Our stink-en think-in.”
Reading on:
“Now
unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or
think, according to the power that works
in us…”
So, what do you
think about the power that is “in you?”
Note; I didn’t say “you” but “IN” you.
Something you did not have until you received Jesus Christ into your
life. What did you gain at that
moment? What is your view of this matter
of “Christ In You?” What is manifested
in your life “is” ACCORDING” to this view; that view in limitation produces a
very limited power. How is this giving
any glory to God? I speak for myself;
for to look at myself I see that I have had this limited view of “His power”
apportioned in me, thus can’t say I have
seen His mighty power working through me.
The world around me thus cannot begin to think that “this stuff works;”
if they follow you life, they don’t see it.
They see only your weakness.
Well, that does come first; but we weren’t to stop there. We were called to reach beyond our weakness
to His strength and power.
Note again; it’s
never is our power in any form; neither strength of youth or accumulated
knowledge nor collective strength of the masses. It is His power “Working” that works in and
through us. Some on the web have said
that “only” these special people, the prophets and Apostles had these special
powers. Well read on in II Peter 1:3-4
“According
as His Divine power has given unto “us all” things that pertain unto Life and
godliness…”
Some might say that this “us all” that Peter is referring to would be
the Apostles; are you sure? What of the
individual using the Name of Jesus outside the Apostles? What does Jesus say of this one in Mark 9:38-42?
“And John
answered Him, saying, “Master, we saw one casting our devils in your name, and he followed us not; and we
forbid him, because he followed not us. (John’s stink-in thinking).
Now hear Jesus’
reply: “But Jesus said, “Forbid him not;
for there is NO MAN which shall do a miracle in my name that can lightly speak
evil of me. For he that is not against
us is on our part. For “WHOSOEVER” shall
offend one of these little one that believe in me, (the individual using Jesus’
Name) it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he
were cast into the sea.”
So, don’t be too
quick to judge those who are using the Name of Jesus to work, by the Holy
Spirit, miracles of God. Remember, judge
nothing before the time. You see it today,
those who feel they are called of God to judge those who do such things. I belief Jesus’ warning should be
heeded. If you feel that you must judge
them, don’t go near water…catch my drift?
Reading on in
Peter’s comments:
“According as
His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain into life and
godliness, through the knowledge of
Him that has called us to glory and virtues, whereby are given unto us
exceeding great and precious promises that by these you might be partakers of
the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through
lust…”
Take notice to a
few things from Peter then I will end this article. Some might say that the verse is not saying
to “us all” but it is saying he has given us “all things that pertain to life
and godliness.” Well, either way it is
to “us” these all things (called “us” to glory and virtues). You see how we gain excess to this divine
power “though the knowledge of Him.” You
have got to understand what you are dealing with. We have established in other chapters of this
book that ALL POWER has been given to the Son of God, Jesus Christ. So, with that knowledge we should know
something of what we are dealing with.
This power mentioned is the very same power that created this
universe. Now that is power; creative
power beyond what we could ever think.
It is this power that is in us; Christ in us, the hope of glory. This matter of the “glory” of God would take
another whole book to even touch it; then we would still fall short of the glory
of God. In our lives we have seen
constructive and destructive uses of power.
Whatever we have seen created by the hands of men is nothing in
comparison to the ETERNAL POWER of God Himself.
Through what God has accomplished through His Son, we can understand
what Jesus meant by His saying, the things I did you will do and GREATER. Yet, here we are, not even touching the
things He did, let alone the things greater.
I wonder if we ever will. Jesus
had said that when He returned would he find faith? For the greater things to be done it would
require a deeper understanding of this thing of faith. It reaches beyond our idea of “trust” and
touches what I am attempting to share in this chapter. As I have mentioned in previous chapters,
Paul the Apostle had come to weakness to gain strength. He called it “being crucified, never the less
he lived, yet it wasn’t him doing the living but Christ in him, and the live he
now lived in the weakness of his flesh, he lived THROUGH THE FAITH OF THE SON
OF GOD. In this you see the real example
of the POWER OF FAITH. It gives greater
meaning to our expression “Faith Healers.”
A true faith healer gets his power to do what he is doing THROUGH CHRIST
in him; the power of healing. Yet today
there is such an attack on faith healers, and many times justifiably so, that
we shy away from even adventuring into this power, which beyond a doubt is
available to “ALL.” Now we know that it
is available to all, yet we know from what we read in scriptures, this power is
given out to those by God through the Son, who has all power, who now still
designates. We have seen that this power
is available to more than Prophets and Apostles; you read all about it in the
church of Corinth, a debate over the diversity of gifts, something I don’t want
to get into in this chapter of book.
There are other books out there that will give you this debate; I don’t
want to get into it here. My focus is
just on the fact of power being available and its source to all of us.
I want to end on
that thought and allow future chapters in this book to build on that which we
have seen so far. So until then, keep on
reading.
CHAPTER 11
THE POWER OF GODINESS, WHAT IS IT?
This
is something the Father has laid on my heart and keeps reminding me to research
and share it in this book. I begin with
a question for you to ponder, "What is Godliness?" To let you know in advance, the thoughts I
will be sharing will not be those found in a dictionary definition of the
word. Nor will it be the traditional
idea of the word meaning behavior. I ask
you to ask the Spirit to convey to you what it is He has been sharing to my
spirit. It will be interesting for us together to experience "The Unity of
the Spirit" on this. So, really ask and expect to see what I
will have you to pray at the end of this chapter. Here are some leading thoughts that got me
started with this search..."For bodily exercise profits little; but
GODLINESS is profitable unto ALL thing, having promise of the LIFE THAT NOW IS,
and of THAT WHICH IS TO COME" (ITIM. 4:8) "And without controversy great is the
mystery of GODLINESS; God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received
up into glory." (I Tim. 3:16). Note; good behavior is a by-product of
Godliness yet is in itself not godliness.
So, just what is this thing of Godliness? Note also I Tim. 6:3 (this is a hint for you)
“even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ..."and the doctrine which is
according to godliness.” (note again;
this is not saying that the doctrine is godliness, but is
"according to godliness (or a by- product of this thing of
godliness.) Also "the words of Jesus"
are not referring to the red print words found in a bible that marks Jesus
words in red ink. Something much deeper
is implied here and is this thing of godliness.
Now look at II Tim. 3:5 "Having a form of godliness, but denying
the power thereof; from such turn away.”
This touches our book title, “In the shadow of His Power.” This “form” mentioned mimics what I am
attempting to convey, yet lacks the power, and thus is in this realm of the
shadow of His power. Our “turning away”, as Paul told Timothy to do, must come
or this power doesn’t. You hear it,
“This stuff didn’t work for me, so I left my church.” Well, that may have been the case, and could
have been your first step to gaining what you didn’t get in your particular
church. What have you done beyond this,
other than to think because it didn’t work there thus it doesn’t work
anywhere? I understand this because I
have done just that in my past. Yet it didn’t turn me off to it; rather it got
me to searching into why it didn’t work for me there. Once I got into this search the Holy Spirit,
over a period of years, began working on me and began revealing why it didn’t
work in me, getting beyond blaming a church group. You will find there is no real excuse that will
work here or in the next life when we give an account of this life. I didn’t want to have to face God one day and
find out it wasn’t the fought of the particular denomination I attended but was
me.
This
search started some 35 years ago and I don’t know that I can express it in just
one chapter of this book; yet I can give you the jest of that search using key
Biblical verses as I began this chapter with.
You will see more on this coming out in other chapters I am sure; this
thing of godliness touches just about every area of our lives, thus you see
“great” is the mystery of godliness.
This thing of godliness is also one of those things that will reach
beyond to a pre-historical fact coming from before the foundations of this
world. It gets into what has been called “the Ultimate Intention of God.” You see that God’s intention of this
experience, we are all going through, began before this world ever began, and
will continue beyond it. It is a matter
of having what Paul the Apostle called, “The power of Endless life;” a view of
an eternal existence, prior to human history, unfolding through history then
going on into what is called the ages upon ages. I have this being developed in a separate
work called, “From Whence we came, we must return.” I will only touch on this in this book in light
of our subject matter of this power coming from that eternal realm. The true source of this power comes from that
realm and not what we have come to call power; it is something greater. Jesus demonstrated this power in His
miracles. The dividing of the loaves of
bread and the five fishes was a demonstration of power beyond the natural,
affecting that which is natural. It was
accomplished in seconds and not days and weeks.
This matter of Godliness is such a thing and more. The question is then, how does this come
about? Read on.
Let
me now back track to the opening verses I used starting with, "And without controversy great is the
mystery of GODLINESS; God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received
up into glory." (I Tim. 3:16). Believe it or not, our answer is found in
this text. First we notice that God was
manifested in the flesh. If you at this
point reject the Deity of Jesus Christ prior to His incarnation in a human
body, what I will be sharing beyond this point will not mean anything to you;
you will not benefit from my insights.
This whole matter of the MYSTERY of GODLINESS hinges on this fact. That is the reason why, to many, it still is
a mystery. Understand, the Greek word
for mystery is saying that this is a matter which is hidden; it is not saying
it isn’t there. It has always been there
waiting to be revealed, which was by Paul the Apostle who shares it with his
young convert Timothy. To be “justified
in the Spirit” reaches beyond to God’s ultimate intend which I have
mentioned. It is a pre-historical fact
which the Angelic host would attest to.
They were not only in this pre-historical realm, but there when the
Christ was manifested in a human body, declaring it, “peace on earth, good will
to men.” For us, this justification
would place us in a position where we would be perceived as having never
fallen with Adam & Eve. All this was
known before the foundations of the world.
The mystery of it all baffles our minds.
All that has occurred in human history HAS already been worked to God’s
good, His ultimate intention. Godliness
continues in this life and the life to come.
It is for us to come to believe this in this world, to be received up
into glory, through what the Son of God, Jesus Christ accomplished for us,
being slain before the foundations of this world. This is a part of Godliness. Everything I write always touches on this
matter of Godliness expressed as our “not looking upon the things seen but the
things not seen, for the things seen are temporary, but the things not seen are
eternal.” To focus on this experience
alone and its ideas of power etc. misses out on the power of godliness; a power
that WAS manifested in flesh, a human body, that of Jesus Christ, the Son of
God, in the mode of a son of man.
Now
grab hold of what I will now say; this same power of godliness was now to be
manifested through us. Jesus kept saying
a phrase over and over again, “the son of man,” in hope that we would
understand something. He definitely was
the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, having full rights to
Deity. Coming as the “son of man” placed
Him in the mode of being “likened unto our flesh” or our condition, thus set aside
any independent use of this attribute of Deity while in this mode as the son of
man. In other words, what He was about
to demonstrated would be done by those that would received Him. You will come to see and understand why He
said, “the things I do you will do and greater.” You hear people use the excuse, “But that was
Jesus; you can’t expect me to do what He did.”
They don’t get it! When He did do
the things He did, He did it as a SON OF MAN and not as the SON OF GOD. He had to be as a real man, dependent upon
God the Father for power. He could not
exercise His own independent rights to this power while in the mode of man, in
order that what He would accomplish would paying for the sin of man, being
qualify as a man. One man, Adam got us
into this mess; ONE man got us out. Yet,
though being a real man, He could not be born of a fallen man from Adam who got
us into this mess. Jesus is called “the
second Adam”, the Adam who did not fall when tempted, thus the expression
“likened unto flesh.” Oh He was in a flesh body, yet not sinful flesh as we are
born coming from the fallen Adam. In all
this you can see why there is such a heavy attack on the Trinity and the virgin
birth. Evil has to destroy this to wipe
out what God the Father accomplished through the God the Son. This Evil spirit, this spirit of Anti-Christ,
works against God the Holy Spirit in all that He did with the Father and
Son. Jesus not only had to qualify as a
real man but also as God; God who only could pay for what had happen to
humanity. No human being, after coming
from the loins of the fallen Adam, could ever accomplish this; they are not God
or gods, they are fallen men cut off from God, thus sons of Adam. Until one receives what Jesus Christ the son
of man accomplished, they will never be Sons of God. They will remain forever fallen sons of
Adam. Adam was a son of God, yet after
his fall, this ended. Jesus Christ, the
‘second Adam” retrieves that which the first Adam lost, SON SHIP. And with this son ship, “WE” now can do what
the son of man did, “IF” we set aside our independent use of this attribute of
being a son of God, and take on this mode as a son of man. I can hear it, “Where is this in the
Bible?” Listen to this text and for the first
time in you religious lives understand what it means… “I AM crucified, never
the less, I live, YET NOT I, but Christ through me; and the life I now life in
the flesh, I live through the faith of the SON OF GOD. Please catch this; Jesus in the mode of man
would have said it this way… “I am crucified, I set aside my independent use of
my attribute of Deity being the Son of God, and took on the mode of a son of
man; never the less as a son of man I can live, yet this life isn’t my using my
attribute of being the Son of God, but is the LIFE OF GOD THE FATHER through
me, so what I do is not me as the Son of God, but a son of man dependent upon
God the Father.”
So,
where Jesus was dependent upon God the Father, we are now dependent upon the
God the Son, to whom God the Father gave all power. The
only way that Jesus was once gain given that which he set aside, was that He,
as a son of man, willingly set it aside and became dependent upon God the
Father while in this mode of a son of man.
We now, can receive this son ship..’As many as receive Him (Jesus) to
them He gave the right to say, I am a son of God.” Now you are a son of God, DO WHAT HE DID, and
become dependent upon Jesus the Son of God, setting aside your independent use
of an attribute of being made a son of God.
DID YOU CATCH WHAT IS BEING SAID HERE??
If you did catch what I just said, then what Jesus did, you will also do
and greater things; things the Son of God wants to accomplish through your
life, like God the Father had accomplished through Jesus, as a son of man. Pray this prayer; “Father I thank you that
through what Jesus accomplished, I have earned the RIGHTS OF SON SHIP. I now, as a son of God, set aside my own
independent use of the attributes as a son of God, taking the mode of a
un-fallen son of man cleansed by Jesus shed blood, and submit to the Son of
God, in like manner as Jesus, in the mode of a son of man, submitted Himself to
you, God the Father. The things YOU
accomplished through the Son of Man Jesus, now Jesus, the Son of God, to whom
YOU gave all power, will accomplish through me, a yielded son of God, in the
mode of once again a son of man.
In
the life to come, I will then be glorified; but now it is to the Glory of God
the Father through the Son of God, in me.
AMEN!”
So,
to sum this up; what is godliness? Godliness
is what Jesus did and practiced and now we must follow that which He did, being
a Son of God, becoming a son of man, setting aside what we have gained now
through Jesus Christ, our Son ship, allowing the Son of God to do what God the
Father did through His Son as a son of man.
It is only after we follow Him in this, that what He said will come
about, “the things I did, (as a son of man), you will do also (as a son of
man), and greater.” Read the book of
Philippians and you will see all that I have said is true.
CHAPTER 12
THE POWER OF ENDLESS LIFE
When we stop seeing a
beginning or an end we get peace; a peace which passes all this beginning and
ending understanding. In other words
before this beginning in the mind of God, if you could gain that mind which
Jesus Christ had, there would be no beginning or end. It was what carried Him through this
experience. He knew that one day he’d be
glorified with the glory He had before this beginning or His incarnation.
What peace that brings
right now just to think about this matter of endless life. Every now and then I get a stronger glimpse
of this thing of endless life and there is more and more peace to it; a peace
that passes all understanding of this limited narrow minded existence. God knows what He is doing. He’s the alpha and omega of this experience
we call life. But His offer of the power
of endless life over rides it all.
Our first parents, Adam
& Eve, partook of this tree of the knowledge of good and evil, than they
were forbidden to partake of the tree of life.
If we would only “put down” this tree of the knowledge of good and evil
and partake of the tree of life, eternal life, we would have the power of
endless life. Yet, we life in the
beginning and end, birth and death; we live in fear of that death. There was to be no fear of death, it wasn’t
even to exit. If Adam & Eve had not
fallen, this exit would not have been.
There would not have been this fear of death because there wouldn’t have
been any death, only an endless eternal experience; one which we could leave at
will and then return, something like in sleep out of sleep, gaining more and
more in the process.
If you thought you
would never die, what things would you do that you aren’t doing now? You would have no fear of death knowing that
this is one continuing experience. You
would grow from one degree of glory to another degree of glory through faith to
faith (faith meaning hearing from God the Father for directions and
instructions of this experience.) We
would be on one continuous adventure asking where do we go next? I’m retired now from the Dept. of
Corrections what do I do next? Do I see
death? NO! I don’t see death I see new horizons.
CHAPTER 13
MORE POWER OF ENDLESS LIFE
Think with me on this
thing of “the power of endless life” in light of a question I had asked in the
previous chapter; “If you really came to
believe that your present experience would never end, and there was no death or
dying around you, as we do experience to say otherwise, what would you do; what
power would such a perspective give to your present experience?”
With this opening
question I will lead off with what I might think to do. The first thing that comes to mind, in light
of what I have experience so far in this life and reaching retirement, what
would be the retirement age? Well, I
guess there would be no such thing as retirement; retirement to what? I first would have to get past things I have
experienced, anticipation of this thing of retirement which we all look forward
to, growing weary of working at the same place sometimes for 40 or 50 years
until what we currently know as retirement age of 66 or so years. We would have to change our stinking thinking
to even grasp eternal life. This thing
of endless life would come with endless power as it says, “the POWER of endless
life.”
So as I reflect on
this, I wonder if we could even get into such a frame of mind being restricted
by what we have experienced in our limited minds. I have a separate work that I am currently
working on which I have titled, “The Rights of the Un-fallen Adam,” which
touches on this. I will now enter into
some of the things I got into in that possible book that touches this thing of
the power of endless life. We know
without a doubt that what God accomplished through the Son of God, we all will
have endless life. Yet in this
experience it clearly says that the outward man is perishing, yet the inward
man is being renewed. I like Kenneth
Wuest’s Expanded translation of this text I just quoted in II Cor. 4:16-18
“Wherefore, we are not losing courage.
But and if, as is the case, our outward self is progressively decaying,
yet our inward self is BEING CHANGED INTO A NEW KIND OF LIFE (fit for the new spiritual existence into
which we have been ushered in salvation, and constantly being conformed
to the image of the Lord Jesus) day by day.
For our momentary light burden of affliction it working out for us more and more surpassingly an ETERNAL, heavy weight of glory
while we are not contemplating the
things that are seen, but the things which are not seen, for the things
which are seen are temporary, but the things
which are not seen are eternal.
Stopping at this point,
focus on the underlined darker print of these texts; see that we are being made
fit for such an experience. How we are
doing this is by first learning to not have this steadfast longing gaze which
we have had most of our lives on our limited views of life. What I am attempting to do now via this
chapter of this book, using the very questions I have had you to consider, is
starting this process to get you to some place where this Power of Endless life
kicks in and not only prepares you for this next existence but also has
benefits in this life as well in that this thought of eternal life empowers
you, encourages you, so you don’t faint as the KJV translates courage that
Wuest used. I being 65 at this writing
“fight” the signs of aging and thought of death. My whole study in this other book I mentioned
does just this. It has us focus more on
eternal life rather than death and aging.
I show how this matter of death is a choice and that no man takes your
life, you lay it down; this laying down of your life was to be only done to
God’s glory. I won’t begin to defend
this here as I do in that work; believe me, this is Biblically backed and not
just with proof text but in context of the whole word of God. For now, until I get this other work printed
and out, search these thing for yourself.
Let me now continue giving you a few more highlights of that work in
light of the power of endless life.
Reading on in Wuest’s
translation of II Corinthians chapter 5 starting with the following verses:
5:1-4
“For we know that if our house of this present tent-life on earth be taken
down, a building from God we have, a house not made with hands, eternal in the
heavens. For indeed, in this (tent) we
are groaning, longing to be clothed in addition with our house which is from
heaven, seeing that also, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked (a
disembodied spirit). For indeed, we
being in this tent, are groaning, being weight down, because we do not desire
to be unclothed (divested of our mortal body) but clothed upon (invested with
our heavenly body), in order that that which is mortal may be swallowed up by
the life.”
I am assuming that some
of you have seen the T.V. series “Ghost Whisperer.” You get the unbiblical impression that when
you die you are a disembodied spirit; Casper the ghost. Reading what Paul the Apostle is sharing in
Chapter five here he is addressing such a fear and clearly says that, “we shall not be found naked (a disembodied
spirit).” He goes on to say we are
“weight down;” weighted down with what?
First our limited views coming from the world around you and many who
are Biblically illiterate. Because of
this limited view we are POWERLESS, weighed down. Paul in this chapter is picking up where he
left off in his first letter to them found in I Cor. 15:12-19
“Now, in view of the fact that Christ is being preached that He arose
from among the dead, how are certain saying that there is not a resurrection of
dead people? Now, assuming that there is
not a resurrection of dead people, neither has Christ been raised. And assuming that Christ has not been raised,
then it follows that our preaching is futile, and futile is your faith. Moreover, we shall also be discovered to be
false witnesses of God because we testified with respect to God that He raised
up His Christ, whom He did not raise up, assuming then that dead people are not
being raised up. For assuming that dead
people are not being raised up, neither has Christ been raised up. And assuming that Christ has not been raised,
your faith is futile. You are still in
you sins. Then also those who fell
asleep in Christ perished. Assuming that
in this life we have hope only, we are of all men those who are most miserable
and most to be pitied.”
Take notice Paul’s use
of the word, “Assuming”, he clearly doesn’t believe what he is sharing. He is only giving out the world’s opinion and
assumptions. You read his strong beliefs
of the resurrection in the remainder of that chapter for you to read. If we listen to the world’s opinions about
this matter you will miss out and never gain anything I or anyone else might
offer to you through THE POWER OF ENDLESS LIFE.
That’s where it begins; our turning away from the world’s idea of it
all, or the world of the occults ideas of it, or our own influenced minds. You see why Evil seeks to attack the word of
God and the matter of the literal resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead. Without this truth our preaching
is empty and we are left with the rest of the world and its religious and
occult reasoning, in the world without God and without HOPE of eternal life,
trapped in the seen.
There is so much more
to this which I know will come out later in this book. I would recommend that you read the totality
of the chapters in Corinthians mentioned in this chapter. I guarantee you will be blessed beyond
measures.
CHAPTER 14
A MATTER OF VESSELS
This article deals with this matter of
Vessels of honor and Vessels of dishonor.
I begin with a quote from the following book called, HOSTAGE TO THE DEVIL..by Malachi Martin. Notes from his section called, “The Process
of Possession,” takes this article in a strange direction, one I had not
originally intended. See if you can
follow what I have seen.
“We will never know in detail how evil spirits
select a special target for possession or the details of how they set about
their grim task in the earliest stages. “When did
you start working on Jamsie? (one of the individuals mentioned in the
book). Father Mark asked Ponto’s
superior (a demon). “He was
chosen before he was born” was the chilling reply.”
MY INSIGHTS
Note, this superior demon says it was decide
upon before he was born. It makes you
wonder, how could this be? I was
pondering this, then this Biblical text came to mind in Roman 9:22 “What if
God, willing to show His wrath, and make His power known, endured
with much longsuffering the VESSELS OF WRATH fitted to destruction: and
that He might make known the riches of His glory on the VESSELS OF MERCY,
which He had AFORE PREPARED
unto glory.”
Linking this to II Tim. 2:20-21 “But in a
great house there are not only VESSELS OF GOLD AND OF SILVER; but also some to
HONOR, and some to DISHONOR; But if a
man therefore purge himself from
these, he shall be a vessel into honor, sanctified, and meet for the
master’s use, and PREPARED unto every good work. FLEE youthful lusts; but follow
righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure
heart. But foolish and unlearned
questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife. And the servant of the Lord must not strive;
but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing
those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to
the knowledge of the truth; and that they may RECOVER themselves out of the
snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” (other words, the individuals by an act of
their own free will got themselves into this; it is that free will, in the form
of “willingness, not necessarily will power,” that can only be the way out of
it. As for the power to do this, this
power must come from God and not “self.”
)
With that said, know this, no matter what
these demon may think of doing; this matter of choosing selected individual
before they are even born, all this can be UNDONE, “that they may RECOVER
themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his
will.”
There are those who feel that if one is
labeled a vessel of destruction, there is no recovery. They take predestination to the extreme. I do not believe this is the case. Take for example the life of Saul who later
became Paul the Apostle. At first there
is no denial, he was a vessel of destruction to the Church. But at his conversion became a vessel of
honor. So what he writes is coming from
his own experience.
You see the hidden potential in all of us,
this ability to be a vessel of honor over riding our being a vessel of
potential destruction in Paul’s remarks in II Cor. 4:7 “But we have this
treasure in earthen VESSELS, that the Excellency of the power may be of God,
and not us.”
Take note to this, “that the Excellency
of the power may be of God, and not us.”
This is where demon possession has inroads which Malachi Martin so well
describes in this chapter. Rather then
finding this hidden treasure, this gift bestowed upon us through what Christ
accomplished, mankind is tricked into believing the devil’s lies that he or she
can gain power independent from what God has offered.
As I’ve already said, this power can not
come from “self.” Why not? In the case of possession, a demon now has
control over the powers of the latent subconscious mind. When I speak of power, I am referring to a
power greater then the power of the subconscious mind. I am referring to that power that created
this power of the subconscious mind. You
hear it in the following text, “Greater is He that is in us, then he that is in
the world.” God is greater then any
power available to mankind; greater then this power of the subconscious mind
that a demon, gaining access to via possession has.
No matter what powers these demons
demonstrate through those they possess, they, the demons, have no power other
then that power they gained once they get the possessed individual’s free will
decision to allow control and take over of this power. Any human attempt to fight this power that
the demons have gained excess to, apart from the power of God Himself, will
fail; even subconscious powers fighting subconscious powers will end in
destruction of both parties.
Understand this, the main goal and end
intent of the demonic, in its possession, is destructive ends; although at
first in the stages of possession it might appear that what is being offered is
to the advancement of the individual, in its end will be destruction.
Reflecting more on the above texts, read it
again: “What if God, willing to show His wrath, and make His power
known, endured with much longsuffering the VESSELS OF WRATH fitted
to destruction: and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the VESSELS
OF MERCY, which He had AFORE PREPARED
unto glory.”
Focus on God making His power known. How could He think to achieve this without an
evil present, in the form of vessels of destruction? (God’s rain falls on the
just and the unjust). Paul the Apostle
is reflecting on this when he opens the text with “WHAT IF.” In other words he is saying, what if this is
why these things take place; an evil doing what it does best, only to reveal
what God does best, that of WORKING ALL THINGS TO THE GOOD, OF THOSE THAT LOVE
GOD AND ARE CALLED TO HIS PURPOSES. If
this is the case, then clearly God is way ahead of this game that Evil attempts
to play. There isn’t anything that an
evil could do that God couldn’t in His power undo. It would come down to the free will of the
individual. Who do you want to win; an
evil ever present or a God, far greater, willing to manifest His power to do
so? Do you think God ever had a moment
where He lost control of this “allowing” Evil to take part in this experience
we humans have? The answer is definitely
“NO!” Could it ever be said of God that
He took things to far?
I have written on the matter of “Extremes”
in light of Evil and its desires to destroy humanity. Briefly, in light of the subject matter at
hand of possession, Evil would have reached this extreme once it has an
individual under its control. God would
then go to the greatest extremes to retrieve that which was lost. Once again it comes down to a matter of the
individual’s willingness for this to happen.
One does not need the will power, but the free will choice for God to
exercise that which He has ever desired to do, set them free.
I added these comments sometime later after
I first wrote this article that brings out a matter I have had questions about
in the past; which I wrote in a separate articles dealing with this matter of
powers and energies. Without a doubt we
know there is power around us all. Note this thought that got my attention
today: “If we as Christians do not avail
ourselves to this power that God has given to us, an Evil will.”
As I said, I have addressed this in another
article called, “It’s Just Energy.” A
brief example would be the use of splitting the atom. This raw naked power has always been there
for humanity to discover. We can see a
certain Good that definitely could and has made use of this discovery; yet,
there definitely is an Evil which makes use of it for its intentions.
Now, once again, reflecting on this text
found in Roman 9:22 “What if God, willing to show His wrath, and make
His power known, endured with much longsuffering the VESSELS OF WRATH
fitted to destruction: and that He might make known the riches of His glory on
the VESSELS OF MERCY, which He had AFORE PREPARED unto glory.”
Clearly in our generation God has made
known one of the many powers He placed in this universe, the Atom; and as this
text clearly says, “has endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath”
who clearly use this power to destructive ends, which you see human efforts
today seeking to maintain some control of this power (Iran, North Korea etc.). It has been used once by us, America, in the
Second World War; though it was a very destructive use, it ended that war. Had Germany or Japan gotten this power before
us, I would hate to imagine what would have happen. This power, though it today is in the hands
of both those which would use it for constructive and destructive ways, this
power is not the problem but rather the depraved nature in us all, which if not
checked, would destroy us all. It only
proves the point that Romans 9:22 was making, God’s desire is, “that He might
make known the riches of His glory on the VESSELS OF MERCY, which He
had AFORE PREPARED unto
glory.” Evil’s use of this power in a
destructive manner will one day face an even greater power than the Atom, God
Himself.
So power is there; it’s only a question of
who uses it and to what end. We must
decide?
CHAPTER 15
GOD IN A BOX?
This is a “THINK” piece;
do you think you or anyone could contain God in a box, be it gold covered or
not? Do you think God dwells in a house made
with hands? I know, Israel through King
Solomon built God a temple. Stop and
think again. Why did God instruct them
to do this? The answer is found in the
early history of that nation who wanted to be like the other nations; they
wanted a King and a Kingdom made with hands; they didn’t want what Abraham saw,
a Kingdom not made with human hands, eternal in nature, not temporary as we
have experienced.
God gave them what they
wanted and warned them of the consequences.
You would think they would have listened; but they didn’t listen any
more than we do today. We are fighting
for a Kingdom and throwing away what Jesus Himself said he would prepare for
us. You read it in scriptures from the
mouth of the Son of God…”if my kingdom was of this world, my disciples would
have fought for me.”
We read in I Kings 8:27
“But will God indeed dwell on the earth?
Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens CANNOT contain thee; how much
less this house that I have built?”
In verse 8:30 we will
start to see something that King Solomon saw, “And hearken thou to the
supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they pray toward
this place; and hear thou IN HEAVEN THY DWELLING PLACE; and when thou hearest,
forgive.” So, Father forgive Israel as
you now have forgiven us of our blindness and narrow mindedness.
Solomon knew that because
of King David’s request to God, God promised that his son, Solomon would build
a temple. But because of Solomon’s great
wisdom, he knew that you can’t contain God in a house or a box. God THROUGH these things would act because of
our limited minds set being overwhelmed by our experience. What we do then is to turn these things into
ICONS and worship that created more than the Creator. So you see it today with this search for the
gold Ark of the Covenant. I wonder if
there is anyone looking for the bones of Balaam’s jack-ass? God spoke THROUGH this jack-ass warning this
prophet that what he was doing was wrong; maybe its bones had power in them.
Crazy! God did this because that was how
Balaam was in his thinking at the time.
He had lost the ability to hear God and listen and was drawn away by the
offer of great wealth by a heathen King.
So, if God used a gold covered box because that was where the minds of
His stiff-neck stubborn people were, now to raise this box up as an Icon to
replace God, would be no better the raising up Balaam’s ass and worshipping it
calling it the power of God. God works
THROUGH this material earth, HE is not anything in this material earth; He does
what He does simply because of the limited, narrow mindedness of mankind.
So, inclusion, seek the
God of this universe and not the material objects He used to reach our limited
minds; that is where the real power is, THROUGH His Son, Jesus Christ, unto
whom now ALL power has been given.
CHAPTER 16
A LETTER FROM MARY
(Response to high lights of this
book I sent to Mary revealing how the power of God can not only heal the body
but also our relationships through weakness.

Dear Paul:
This is great and right on point. I think I’m beginning to
understand how God works His power through us, the things I have experienced in
the last two weeks have giving me a glimpse of His Power. I dare not say I Know, because the more I
learn the scarier it gets and the more I realize that I’m NOTHING and can’t do
anything without screwing it up.
Remember the conversation we had on my way back from the Keys
(Florida) about how God revealed to me the powers we have in our thoughts and
mind; especially if we know the Lord and we still use our soul power? I think when we are in this situation our
thoughts become even more effective and dangerous. I had shared with you how I
almost sent my brother to an early grave because of this use of that latent
power and my will power telling him to go to a specialist and that specialist
prescribed medications that threw his body off and he spent 12 day in the
hospital. Had it not being for God’s intervention
through our prayers, I believed my brother would have died or become completely
in a vegetable state. Well you prayed that Sunday around 12pm, at around 6
pm my brother started recuperating rather quickly and started speaking again; 4
days later he was let go. I saw the power of God work through our prayer and
my sincere shame for what I had done.
This happened on a Thursday, the following Saturday, my brother
ended up in the hospital again because he took some pain pills and his liver is
damaged and in advance state. Well I think
this was an epiphany for my brother because he would feel ashamed for what he
had done and God delivered him again.
The power of God is beyond our comprehension!!!! Right after this trip
to the hospital, where he had to spend another 5 days in the hospital, an
amazing thing happens. The doctors said that he had liquid in his belly and it
was infected (there was none), they found NOTHING WRONG with him except his
damaged liver (which I believe God can restore) if my brother doe not abuse it
any longer. Well here comes the kicker;
while my brother was in the Hospital the second time, Adrian (Mary’s son) came
to visit while I was there and stayed around 5 hours; I was also there and
spent time with Adrian as well. I noticed how disturbed he was and it affected
me greatly (we spoke about him, Adrian, on the phone you and I) the following
morning I felt a need to cry, and it reminded me of our conversation the night
before, how Gods power is at the edge of our weakness. Instead of crying I prayed and confessed to
God how helpless I was and asked Him to forgive me for feeling this way, I also
thanked Him for understanding my human state ( I don’t even know the things I
said) but I asked Him to give me peace and He did. Well that same afternoon Adrian called me and
wanted to come over, of course I said even though I was kind of nervous because
Ray (Mary’s husband) and Adrian hadn’t spoken in 3 months. By the time Adrian
arrived at my house my brother was here (I had asked Him to come).
Anyway let me continue, Adrian arrived and looked fine, he
ate and talked to my brother, played with the dog and the bird etc....after a
while Ray called me and I told him Adrian was here, I was kind of nervous, but
Ray said, “I’m coming home anyway.” I
said, “Lord your will be done and YOU ARE UNDER CONTROL,” and this is how
(I believe) the power of God works....we don’t have to do anything, you
and I had prayed the night before for Adrian ( remember?) and God in His Wisdom
saved my brother and used him so Adrian and Ray can reconcile.....it was
beautiful,.....Tony (Mary’s brother) spoke with Adrian and told him he had to
remove the black cloud that was in our house, that he had to make peace with
Ray, that Ray loved him and had been his father throughout his life. Well
Adrian came in the house and called Ray, they hugged and Adrian told him how
sorry he was and that he loved him. Adrian kissed Ray many times and there was
peace in the air.
How
wonderfully God does things without our help, it is so true that His Power is
At The Edge of our weakness, and the most amazing thing is that we can not take
credit for anything because it is through our weakness that He works....all I
could say under my breath was, Thank You Lord and be awed( amazed) to see His
power work........of course Tony though it was him, but I know that it was God
through my brother, because everything works for the good for those that love
the Lord and He uses us, and when we understand how we must be weak IN HIS
PRESENCE, we see how His Power works to a perfection and if we can understand
this thing of weakness, we can be used to move mountains and cure the sick and
raise the dead, BUT IT IS HARD TO
ACCOMPLISH THIS BECAUSE THE FLESH ALWAYS WANTS THE CREDIT. We must obey and do NOTHING in order for God
to work, I believe we can not even talk about it with others, because people
will distort things and start worshiping you( us) instead of understanding that
we are weak and He is Strong....they will think we had been giving special
powers, and that is dangerous. We do not get special powers, His Power comes
through us...............THAT’S ALL, and WE ARE NOTHING BUT A VESSEL....AMEN
CHAPTER 17
ACCORDING
TO THE POWER OPERATIVE IN US
March 10, 2011
Why isn’t the power we
desire presently operative in us. We
know that when Jesus healed it was instantaneous. Full power was excised by Him as a son of man
through God the Father, to whom, at that moment, was found all power. We now know that “all power” has been given
to the Son of God. With Christ in us, we
now, via the Holy Spirit, have excess to this power; power not to be used
independent from the way God has established it, Jesus being our example of its
use while here as the son of man. It is
His power and not our powers of the flesh or subconscious latent powers that
are operative in us; something I have dealt with in other chapters of this
book.
I have sought to find
what has been established by the Father now through the Son. Here is what I have found:
1. First we must receive the Holy Spirit.
2. Then we must learn to walk in that Spirit and
not another.
3. When we walk in this Spirit by “waiting
through this Spirit for righteousness,” that which we need in any give
situation will come.
4. We must watch out for temptation to not wait
and go back with old habit patterns to solve our situations…”having begun by
the Spirit, are you now being brought to maturity by the flesh.”
5. We must come to see, “that in me, that is in
my flesh, there dwells no good thing;” as good as some of our old habit
patterns may have been, to the point that they even worked for us in a limited
way, we must learn to count these old patterns of the flesh as dung. Many of these habit patterns, teaching
came to us via “doctrines of devils and demons” unaware.
6. We must not seek to change the flesh, fine
tune it, so to speak; the flesh will always be the flesh, in that it always
seeks to solve our problem totally independent from the NEW way that God has
established for us, through His Son.
You can see why it says “that we work out our salvation with fear and
trembling”…it is the Flesh that fears its death, thus trembles and wrestles
against the way of the Holy Spirit. The flesh will always seek to have you “lean
unto your own understanding; old habits established, along with the opinions
and thoughts of those around you. You
can see the need to “wait.” So, in the
early days of learning to wait on the Spirit’s leading, it will take days,
weeks and even months for this new way to overcome the blocks, obstacles we
have placed in His way. But if we wait,
His way will come and remove these blocks and obstacles. Then in the future, as these blocks and
obstacles are removed, the reaction to recovery shortens. Remember, Jesus had said that the devil found
no place in Him. With us, this cannot be
said; Satan has found inroads into our minds and has built fortresses to fight
the Holy Spirit.
Think back on how you
once acted before receiving the Holy Spirit who led you to Christ. Get to know yourself for this reason
only. Learn how you came to know these
ways of the flesh via your culture, creeds, educational system. Walking in the Spirit is nothing more than
the UNDOING of what had been established prior to your salvation.
We will at first only
have “knowledge” of these matters yet lacking their experience. We may say that we know that Christ is in us,
yet still lack CONTACT with this Christ in us.
This Christ in us is not us; meaning the strength of our youth or
subconscious latent powers.
As we mature in the
spirit, the flesh is revealed to be what it has always been, weak. It will be because of this discovery that it
can be said, “When I am weak, I am strong.”
The pride of the flesh will fight this and have you believe that it
can improve itself via more education using not only the secular systems
available to it but also religion. You can see what it means when it says,
“Having a form of godliness, but denying its power.” Memorized Biblical verses might be
impressive, yet if the powers of those verses aren’t there, it is nothing more
than the dead letter that is said to kill; kill in the sense that they don’t
give life. It has never been the letter
of the Bible that manifested power, but the Living Word via the Holy
Spirit. Jesus had said, “The words that
I speak to you they are Spirit and they are life.” You now know what He meant. Remember, He
spoke this while being in the mode of a man just like us.
When we have exhausted or
ended all the ways of our flesh, then and then only does the Holy Spirit move.
STOP!!!
As I was doing this
research I was told to STOP. Then something amazing happened beyond just
another theory or theological study…THE EXPERIENCE. I was given this statement which I will
explain in the following paragraphs…(Holy Spirit speaking in light of
healers) ”They had thought to think they
had figured Me out. Applying a method I
might have used, the left hand not knowing what the RIGHT hand was doing, now
they think to apply it again. Yet, this
time it doesn’t work. The
Holy Spirit can’t be mimicked, bought or sold.
Truly His ways are past finding out.
Yet, the flesh is ever seeking to find this out to mimic it, asking,
“How does it work?”
Well, I just experience something and I don’t
know and don’t want to know, lest the flesh gain its strength. I hesitate to share this or think to brag
about it or anything else, lest the flesh grab it. What I had been doing in this above research
is nothing more than the flesh seeking to find out how the Holy Spirit might
heal my pain in my right hip and leg I’ve had now for about a week. So, as I titled this chapter, According to
the Power operative in Us, takes on a whole different meaning…..”ACCORDING TO
POWER, the Holy Spirit, He does what He does without our really needing to know
how He does it. My flesh was seeking
to find out how He would heal my right hip.
It is NOW HEALED, and for the life of me I haven’t a clue how He did
it. This hip problem had lasted for over
a week now; I had tried everything possible, heat pads, pills…the usual nine
yards I do to counter this, nothing worked; yet this time I wanted the Holy
Spirit to heal me, not my flesh actions as in the past which usually takes
weeks. I had the above thoughts in my opening paragraph of how when Jesus
healed it didn’t take weeks, it was INSTANT.
I wonder why my healing couldn’t be instant as well. Well, He just did, INSTANTLY!! And I mean INSTANTLY>>AMAZING!! Yet, the flesh wanted to know what I said,
or did to accomplish this. I DON’T KNOW,
NOR DO I WANT TO KNOW….HE just Did it, and that’s all I need to know. My flesh would love to know so that later on
it might think to use whatever I thought I did, again. I believe His ways MUST BE KEPT…PAST FINDING
OUT, or else the flesh will mimic it using subconscious latent powers. You see it today, “those who have a form of
godliness, yet deny its power; then you have those that have a form of
godliness, yet MIMIC the power of the Holy Spirit, using the subconscious
latent powers of the soul many times unaware.
They attempt to reproduce what many times the Holy Spirit may have done
in the first incident….example, certain music playing, and certain human
mannerisms on the part of a person; then certain hand laying of the preacher
etc. They think “these things” did the
healing, when in truth it was only the power of the Holy Spirit, who didn’t
need the stirring of the soul…either emotion or intellect or body actions. He just healed them…period. Today I experience just that…He healed me
period…and I don’t know that it was anything on my part that caused
this…AMEN! Paul March 10, 2011
I have to share this in light of the
resent e-mails I sent to you about my hip's healing. The delay of
my being able to finish the dry wall ceiling in my bathroom worked to a
good. The other night we had a major rain storm, and while I was lying in
bed I heard, Drip, Drip....the roof was leaking in the bathroom. Had I
not had this hip problem I would had finished the new ceiling to only have to
tear it out again because of this leak...AMAZING! The healing was timed
to perfection...I now can patch the roof and finish the drywall ceiling in the
bathroom. The Holy Spirit fixed more then my hip....divine delays work to
our good in many ways...amazing! What a lesson of how the flesh can
do what it does, yet the Holy Spirit can work it all to a good.....Paul
Job 9:10 “Which does great things
PAST FINDING OUT; yea wonders without number.”
Romans 11:33-36 “O the
depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God; how unsearchable
are His judgments, and His WAYS PAST
FINDING OUT.” For who has known the
mind of the Lord? Or who has been His
counselor? Or who has first given to
Him, and it shall be recompensed unto Him again? For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are
all things; to whom be glory forever.
Amen.”
Eccles. 11:5 “As thou knowest not what is the WAY OF THE SPIRIT, nor how the
bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child; even so thou knowest not
the works of God who maketh all.”
Isa. 42:16 “And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not;
I will lead them in paths that they have
not known; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things
straight. These things will I do unto
them, and not forsake them.”
CHAPTER 18
DELEGATION OF POWER
I begin with
questions, “To whom has all power been given; in Heaven, on earth and under the
earth?” Now ask yourself, “Has He given
you power?” Now if you said yes, what
have you done with this power? Do you
believe that you are trustworthy with such power? Has He given you power to act independent
from His delegation and use of it? Could
it be that we have misunderstood His giving power to mean that we can now do
whatever we so desire with this power?
Are we like Pilate who was definitely given power to accomplish God’s
purpose concerning His Son? What did
Pilate do with this power? Did his
washing his hands of the situation and giving power to the mob that day,
attempting to free himself of its responsibility? In this question, have we been given power,
unaware, and thus have thought to delegation its responsibility to others to
free us of blame?
A lot of
unanswered questions we must consider in this question of power and its
delegation. I know beyond a doubt that
God the Father gave to His Son ALL POWER; something I have addressed in earlier
chapters of this book. I have also said
that it is now the Son delegating power to whom He so desires, to His end
purposes which are to the Glory of God the Father. This is the only reason God the Father gave
the Son all power; He had passed the test, a test which we could clearly say
that all humanity has failed, demonstrating it misuse. It has only been a few down through history
that have demonstrated this power as God had wanted, which we read of in the
life of Jesus Christ, as the son of man.
In an earlier
chapter I had used the illustration of Mickey Mouse in the Movie “Fantasia”
where he had thought to put on the magician’s hat attempting to exercise power
went it was not delegated to him. We saw
the result, devastation! Now take a look
at you own personal life; what devastation have you caused taking on power
which has not been delegated to you? The
question is, “Why is it that you have power when you can honestly say that you
don’t remember God every saying to you that He was going to give you
power.” Might you have this power, which
I had said in earlier chapters, as Pilate had power, to work the devastation he
did? Would you want to be such a person? Hearing this, are you now seeking to wash
your hands of this, thinking to redirect attention to others giving them the
blame; or are you honest enough to admit to God that you have abused power
clearly given to you from Him? You may
have been unaware of this before this moment of reading about it, but now you
know. So, what are you going to do about
it? As I shared in the story of Mickey
Mouse, you simply remove the wizard’s hat, HANDING BACK THE POWER, and then go
about doing that which you have been delegated to do; in Mickey’s case, mopping
the floors. Rather humbling position wouldn’t
you say? But in the truth of this thing
of delegation of power, the SON OF GOD did just that in His becoming a son of
man. Of course He didn’t give up power
because he was caught abusing it, to the contrary, “He who knew no sin, became
sin that we might become the righteousness of God.” He took the punishment we deserved for
abusing the powers that God has given to all, “the rain falls on the Just and
the unjust.” God gave us all power
whether just or unjust, whether you believe this or acknowledge it. BOTH the just and the unjust abused it! Just take a look around you. Have you ever heard of so-called good men and
women getting caught abusing power?
People are shocked when they hear it.
We shouldn’t be; if you know the real truth of the condition of humanity
you would expect that God would allow it to come out more so using so-called
good people then those we label bad.
When scriptures declares “there is none that does good, not one” it
wasn’t kidding. In this you can see why
God has allowed the rain (of power) to fall on the just and the unjust. He delegated it as such knowing full well
they would “ALL” abuse power. The only
one in human history, Jesus, who had FULL POWER given to him, and did not abuse
this power, but SET IT’S INDEPENDENT USE ASIDE, became like us, a son of man,
allowing God the Father through Him to exercise this power where and when, and
to whom He so pleased. He was tempted as
we are in that the HAT of the wizard was offered to Him and He refuse to put it
on. God says to many today, “I give you
power,” and they….put the hat on, and think to act as Balaam did after God had
warned him over and over again to not abuse power; God finally said to him, “go
with them.” Balaam then runs into an
angel of death.
Delegated power? Do you want it? What would you do if it were offered? We all would like such power, after feeling
so powerless in our lives. Could it be,
that this feeling you have of helplessness and powerlessness, could it be that
you HAVE, unaware, put the hat on and your helplessness was caused BY YOU and
your abuse of the power you were given.
If so, at this moment, humble yourself, under the hand of the almighty
God and in due process of time, He will exult you…and not you, as you have

CHAPTER 19
THE RAIN MAKER
They worship
the rain and not the rain maker. “His
rain falls on the just and the unjust.”
The “just” see where the rain came from, the “unjust” use it, and rob
God of His glory. Pilate demonstrated
this when he said, “Don’t you know that I have POWER to crucify you or let you
go?” Then Jesus responded, “You have no
POWER unless it came from above.” Pilate
had no idea that God only gave him power to accomplish His will and not that of
the Roman Empire. “Had they known, they
would not have crucified the Son of Glory.”
Evil today has no power unless the Son to whom all power was given give
it to them to work God’s ultimate intent towards the consummation of this age,
to begin what the word of God clearly reveals, “The Continuance” which extends
beyond the 1,000 year reign of Christ on Earth, into the New Heavens and the
New Earth, a world without end.
The rain upon
the unjust is limited, whereas the rain upon the just is unlimited, yet only
under the Father’s will and final intent of this age. We, the just, do not do as the unjust do; use
this rain (power) independent from God, or what is termed in religious circles,
sin. We hear that power corrupts, but
absolute power corrupts absolutely. See
this in what I have said; power can be constructive or destructive. Power in the hands of men cut off from God
and His intent, though appearing at first to be constructive, end in
destruction. (“There is a way that seems
right unto a man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death.) If we, through this fallen nature of Adam,
act with this power, as independent agencies, we will produce the same as the
unjust. A lot that is done in the Name
of the Lord is nothing more than the abuse of this power, which God has clearly
given. We, as the just, must come to see
this, and surrender what has been given, back to our Father and allow Him to
manifest this power at his timing and way.
CHAPTER 20
THE GIVING OF POWER
I asked a question, “Would God give such power as we see
today around us to humans that definitely have shown themselves to not be
trustworthy with such power?” I am thinking
in particular of this thing of HAARP’s which is said to have the power to
control the weather. Would God allow
humanity to gain such power and use it to destroy one another? Without a doubt, from what I have expressed
in other chapters of this book, I believe He would. His rain falls on the just and the unjust;
the just seek to use power to the Good, whereas the unjust seek to destroy,
even in their claim that their use is to the betterment of humanity. The heart, as God has clearly said, “is
deceitful and desperately wicked.” He
knows that all human motives come from this heart cut off from Him; it will do
what its father desires. Their father is
none other than Satan himself; who was a liar from the beginning and did not
abide in the truth. Their denial of God
and this devil guarantee this to be a truth.
We have seen from our past, a past that testifies against
us, that we have seen mankind gain the ability to split the atom and work it to
good and evil. It appears that in order
for the good to exercise their power, evil has to have excess to this power as
well. It could be seen as a HOPE that
they would use their free will to choose the good use of it rather than an evil. But notice this; it is many times the
so-called good that created these things like splitting the atom and
HAARP. You would think that they would
know this and hide it from them. Well,
in the name of progress this continues as we see. It is unavoidable. So, I believe that there is something more
behind this thing of God giving humanity power.
Call it a testing ground where God desires to reveal a serious matter
concerning the condition of humanity brought about by an Evil that has always
disagreed with this GOODNESS of God and His love for humanity; thus seeks to
destroy all good (now catch this) and evil.
This evil seeks TOTAL DESTRUCTION using good and evil. This evil reaches the deepest depth of what
is called Iniquity. It has no particular
interest in a party, race, culture or creed; its main goal is to destroy
everything. Like a jealous child that it
is, in a tantrum fit, it even destroys its own toys to get at its siblings.
