CHAPTER
7
RAW
POWER
I want us to view all
power as just raw naked power; not attributing any sense of good or evil to
this power. When we see God working His
will in this experience we are going through, we must come to see His using raw
power; power He says that He gave to the Son; His giving Jesus “ALL”
power. This “all” power is this raw
power that I am speaking of. In saying
“all” power it means just that, ALL. If
you see anyone using power, they could not have had power unless God gives it
to them. We see good and evil elements
using this power and we would question, “Why would God give evil any power at
all?” Before you get to judgmental,
think of this statement from Jesus, “You who are EVIL give good gifts to your
children, how much more your Father in Heaven.” Note this, He is calling you EVIL. So, here you are exercising some power giving
gifts to your children; where did you get your power to do this, and why did He
give you who are evil power; even though in this case you used it for good
giving your children gifts; who is to say that God giving you who are evil
power, who is to say that you would turn around, and instead of giving your
children gifts, use it to harm them? Why
would He give you that are EVIL the power to do good? Taking this further, let’s say that God gives
power to an individual and that individual uses that power to rob or kill. Did God make a mistake giving this individual
power? If God had not given him this
power he would not had the ability to rob or kill. Think!
If God stopped giving out His power to FREE WILL BEINGS we could do
neither good nor evil. Yet everything
would stall, stop and die, because it is said that through His giving us power
we live, move and have our very being.
As for the robber and murder, God also has given POWER to the policeman
to stop that individual’s free will choice.
Power is measured out as He so dictates so that ALL have this power with
the free will choice to use it correctly; some do and some don’t. I ask you, “Where is Pilate today; he that
took God’s power and used it to crucify the Son of God; where is the Roman
Empire today? Only so much power was
given and no more; when that power was gone so was the individual and the
Empire. How would you have measured it
out if you knew that it would take the free will act of some individual,
government, to accomplish what was needed to set humanity free from an evil’s
attempt to destroy all of humanity? It
had to be accomplished without your forcing you will on this situation, thus
keeping in tack the free will of all. If
you consider what transpired, God did an outstanding job, the devil didn’t have
a clue that what he had instigated with Adam & Eve was being undone by what
appeared as an evil act. If the devil
had any idea that what he was doing that day, in the Garden of Eden and the
Cross, would have accomplish what God had wanted, he would not have done
it. Who is clever in this picture?
Ask yourself, how would
you run this matter of power if you were God?
You might think, “I’d never give elements of evil power.” Who would you consider evil? You can imagine the different views of this;
everyone would withhold power from those who didn’t see things as they do. What would you do with those you saw as
evil? I had thought of a thousand
questions of this matter of giving out power; all I can say is that I am glad I
am not God.
Just raw power was
given to Pilate to execute the duties he had as a Roman Governor. Though in Pilate’s hand it worked to what
appears as an evil; yet it works to God’s certain good through the crucifixion
of Jesus; yet understand, it is just raw power. Power was needed to crucify
Jesus that day to fulfill God’s plan and purposes; so the needed power was
given. Of course their plan and
purpose was evil, the power wasn’t. It
is God only that has the authority to give power, and to whom or what purposes
He intended. What others might think of
this power or where it came from is another matter. It says that had they knew that God’s plan
and purposes would be fulfill through their use of this power God clearly
gives, they would not have exercised their right to use this raw power. They had thought that they were the source of
power and its purpose. So, Power in and
of itself is neither good nor evil. You
see the Apostle Paul touch on what I am attempting to convey here found in
Romans 14:20 “For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil
for that man who eateth with offence.”
Titus 1:15-16 “Unto the pure all things are pure; but unto them that are
defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is
defiled. They profess that they know
God; but in works the deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto
every good work reprobate.”
Here you see another
reason God gives power to the just and the unjust; to manifest His glory and to
expose the fallen nature of humanity, who constantly robs God of His glory
giving the glory to man…”Man, in the name of man, by the power of man, to the
glory of man.” We call it secular
humanism that throws God out of the picture completely. There are many atheists in this world that
have power and do good things for many.
Do you think they benefit from this?
Sure they get recognition, applauds for their actions, yet God gets
robbed…does He? We know God gave this
atheist power, that power helped people.
Those people were God’s concern, not what others thought was the source
of supply, the atheist. It doesn’t in
the long run profit the atheist, “what’s a man to profit if he gain the whole
world and lose his soul?” The atheist’s
purpose is done and goes nowhere according to his beliefs; yet God’s plan and
purposes continue using this atheist with him unaware. Imagine the shock of the atheist when they
are shown this in eternity?
There are many shadows
of God’s power, some appearing good, some appearing Evil. But know this, He causes all things to WORK
TO HIS GOOD, to those that love Him and are called to His purposes. We may not see this and take sides as to
God’s nature. Some have said that God
has a dark side to His nature. I don’t
believe that. It contradicts what is
written of His nature and character, “in Him is no darkness at all;” God is not
tempted with evil.” I believe it is as I
have said, a matter of just seeing raw power and God in His grace giving power
to the just and the unjust in order to work that which is GOOD for all those
that Love Him. He is not darkness nor is
He evil. He cannot be darkness and light
for it is said that the dark has not overcome the light. What is darkness, but nothing more than the
absence of light. Leave God, who is the
light of life, out of your life and all you will have is darkness. What is evil but the absence of good. Embrace evil and there will be no good to
your life and actions. What is evil but
nothing more than denying the creator of all things who pronounce each day of
creation as GOOD. Not till an evil
sought to cut God off as the source of all POWER did the world as we have
experienced it occurred.
CHAPTER 8
LEST I BE MISUNDERSTOOD
At this point in my
book I want to pause and say some things or there will be those that might
misunderstand all that I have shared up to this point; not that in spite of my
efforts to do this, I still be misunderstood by some. I want to share how God, though He has great
power, this power isn’t Him but only that which is used by Him to manifest just
who He is. You see this in modern
thinking and how many times an idea of God is “depersonalized” making God out
to be just a force. The “Star Wars”
trilogy does just that when you hear them saying to one another, “May the force
be with you.” It has a ring of
depersonalization. So I will add to this
chapter those things given to me that reveal the Eternal Personal God of
Intelligence we as Christians worship.
CALLING
GOD ENERGY
Calling God “energy”
and de-personalizing this God, doing so, would be like my building my house and
years later someone visiting me and saying, as they looked over the work I’ve
done, and finished, “My, look at the energy spent to do all this beautiful wood
work!”
They walk around me,
past me, almost ignoring me, room after room, as I followed. They keep saying, “What energy could have
done this? I know it had to be very
powerful energy. I wonder who, or what
has done this? It appears to have form,
almost as if it has some kind of intelligence.”
I’m thinking as I
follow them around, “What, are they nuts?”
I step in front of them, kind of giving then the gesture that I built
this house. I tell them that my flesh,
sweat, blood and spent energies are in this house. It is the very expression of my thoughts and
who I am. Every board, nail, and swing
of the hammer was me. They look at me,
and then glancing around the house say, “Oh, I understand.”
Weeks later a tragic
things happens. Your house burns to the
ground. The death of your house is in
the News. You are reading the rest of
the News paper and come to the obituary section and see your name and how you
died in the fire. Puzzled, you call the
News paper explaining to them that you are still alive. They reply, “No, impossible. Mr. So-and-so reported to us that you died in
the fire. Mr. So-and-so said your flesh,
sweat and blood were in that house. It
was the very expression of you in that house.
The fire destroyed you.”
What’s wrong with this
picture? What was meant as a simile, was
taken as literal. You are flesh, sweat,
blood, energy and the house can be the very expression of who you are, but,
putting this into the house and using this house to say it is me, ISN’T THE
TRUE ME, anymore then the energy, material universe is God, though He used it
to express Who He Is.
Though what we build is
an inanimate thing, not living, it can be an expression of who we are, yet
again, NOT US. Though what God builds is
a LIVING BEING, thus has His life in them and can chose to express who this God
is, it isn’t Him anymore then I am my house.
WHOLLY
OTHER
(This comes from a transcript from a forum I once
shared many things which touched upon the
subject matter of this book you are now
reading. They were leading toward
embracing this
modern thought of the depersonalization of God; I
shared the views God had given to me).
I sit and ponder what
you all have shared here. I have
expressed in the forum my leaning towards personification of this energy,
force, we experience. Personal, in that
I have expressed that I could ask “Him” questions and get a response. For me the “Him” implies more than our ideas
of male/female...for now, just see it as something “Wholly other”...and our
male/female personalities fragmented expressions of something “Wholly other.”
So, I asked the
question, “What of this matter of personality that was brought up in this
forum? What have you got to say on this
matter?” Here was the reply I got: “Energy
without being expressed through a personality is just Naked Energy. I expressed this to Moses in what you have
translated...”In the beginning, (in the mind of God, personified, intelligence)
I created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without FORM AND
VOID...unexpressed. Just raw naked
energy yet to be personified, or Expressed, held in my MIND; thought without
the action and manifestation. Then can THE
ACTION AND MANIFESTATION. ”Then I,
wholly other, SAID! In this action the expression of Deity was,
and still can be, seen. This
Personality’s power, Godhead, character, Image, attributes, in symbolic forms
of condensed energies which we call stars, planets, light, darkness etc. followed
by Humanity, the intended ultimate expression, coming into ACTION. Billions of expressions connected to this
Wholly Other, which if disconnected, are like wondering stars not knowing their
beginning or ending, running their course without meaning or purpose only to
end in outer darkness, thus the expression, “Wailing and clashing of
teeth.” Attempting to express who they
are, unconnected to this Wholly Other....God....they burn out, and are absorbed
into black holes where they will never come to understand the meaning of it
all.
Personality! You give this to yourself, yet you dare to
see Me as an impersonal being? Where do
you think you got the notion of personality?
What does Father, Son, Spirit mean to you? Is it just another empty religious expression
or did it mean to imply Personality in My Headship of all your beautiful
expressions of Male/Female, Husband and Wife, Son and Daughters, family and
friends. It was I, The Wholly Other, who
intended to express My Wholly Otherness through all of you. Destroy My personality and with it goes
yours. Stay connected! Keep your unique
expressions, It was I who gave it to you; but do not neglect the Wholly Other’s
Perspective.”
It
has been brought up in this forum this idea of “Collaboration” in light of
things shared here of our all getting an idea of God formed that all can agree
with. Here is the definition of collaboration: “work jointly with others. Help
the enemy.” That’s the dictionary definition for the word. But I know when these reoccurring words come
they come with other’s definition. So I
am asking God in light of what He shared to me, too help me bring out what He
shared in light of this forum request that we collaborate. Here is what I asked Him, “What did you have
in mind...Wholly Other?” Here was His
response, (Take notice to something in the response; at first it is expressed
in the Person of God through the Holy Spirit speaking to me. Then at one point it appears to be me
speaking using my personal personality; yet it isn’t me. Read Gal. 2:20 to understand what I mean and experienced
here)…So, here was His response, “Nothing
wrong with the first part of the definition...”working jointly with others. It’s
the second part of the definition that brings trouble....”helping the enemy.”
Maybe we have stretched things to the point where we don’t believe there is an
enemy and embrace everyone and everything. Peace and safety, then sudden
destruction. When one collaborates with the enemy, maybe in blindness at the
moment, he or she is not helping the cause, whatever the cause might be. We
seen it happen in history and now with hind’s sight see where we were wrong to
embrace matters as we did with so much trust. We see it occurring as we speak
in our present situations. The old adage...”What we learn from history is that
we don’t learn from history.” Solomon expressed it in this manner, “There is
nothing new under the sun.” Things just keep repeating themselves with a
different dress or slant of wording. If we aren’t aware of this we fall for the
same old traps that our fore fathers fell for.
You
asked in this forum if anyone was thinking along the lines of this word, “Collaboration.”
I would say yes, having the definition first and now with your introducing the
word, I have added the word to my thoughts in definition. A lot that is being
shared around us in books, tapes, T.V. etc. reeks with “Nothing New”. It’s all been said in, as I said above, in
different dress or slant of words. In this case, keeping to this thread’s
subject matter here, this matter of de-personalizing God is not new.
Without going into detail, just reach back in time and see the dress it once
wore and different wording....it’s still the same old lie....”has God said?” God is not a mindless twit. Nor is he the
bionic soup of the “impersonal, plus time, plus chance.” This God we follow
after is a Personal superior mind which without we could not hold together and
consist. The old question ask down through history, “How do you get unity out
of the diversity” rises again, thinking it can be answered without what has
been said and is Held, “preserved the Unity of the Spirit in the bond of
peace...a peace that passes all understanding.” So much attack has been dealt
out against any thought of this God being a tri-unity of three distinct
PERSONALITIES yet ONE; religious folks have argued it for centuries. It is not
my point here to entry into this argument. It can be argued with success but I
will spare you this lesson in religious theology. Let me simply say it. “IF
there is not a Unity In A diversity of a Being outside our experience of the
many diversities we encounter in this experience, I can boldly say, THERE NEVER
WILL BE ONE; That One, God, must be as He claims Him Self to be, Unity in
diversity of Personality of Father, Son and Spirit.....ONE. I believe we are
just beginning to Experience this beyond the theology of it all. Science, of
all people, are seeing for the first time its possibilities and are claiming
what is not NEW...being always there.... “For the invisible things of Him from
the creation of the world are Clearly seen, being understood by the things that
are made, EVEN HIS ETERNAL POWER AND GODHEAD, so they are without excuse.”
(Romans 1:20)
Needless
to say, what I shared that day in that forum went over like a lead
balloon. I wonder if you the reader of
this book have caught what was expressed that day through me; this idea of God
and His expressing Himself in the way we read in Scriptures. The very nature and expression God has
everything to do with what I know to be His power; without this understanding
you end up in some incorrect idea of God.
THE “THINKING STUFF”
The
term, “Thinking Stuff”, was picked up by me years ago in my research of this
matter of the Nature of God and His power; here is what I found. Solid matter is not really solid. There are “spaces”
between the molecules of matter. Science is puzzled as to how these molecules
hold together. Lot of theories out there, but, if you can accept this, the best
I have ever heard came from a book largely rejected and labeled religion and
not science...that book is called The Bible.
So, before some of you get turned off, at least consider what many times
is put into a religious sermon and what I will share gets rejected as just “religion”.
In these spaces is “thinking Intelligence” which holds these molecules
together. Now here is the Text I am referring to in the Bible...”Though HIM
(personified Intelligence) all things HOLD TOGETHER and consist.” (Col. 1:17) A Personal HIGHER Intelligence who’s
intelligence is on such a high order that it NEVER SHUTS DOWN. If it ever did, or could, all molecules of
matter would fall apart. A constant Intelligence that keeps all things
going...thus thinking, that MATTERS. One more text to consider...”Through HIM,
We Live, and Move and have our very BEING (Hold together). (Acts 17:28) Note, from what we have experienced, ONLY an
intelligent Mind could have created, ONLY an intelligent MIND could sustain,
and ONLY an intelligent Mind could consummate all that is. We are made in the
image of that Intelligence, and when we think in this light, fellowship of the
seen and the UNSEEN are manifested...and the principles of what I am sharing, in
a non-offensive matter, takes place. He
is there and He is not silent. He is there and thus we are. Harmony creates,
disharmony destroys.
CHAPTER 9
THE SHADOW OF HIS POWER IN CREATION
The
shadow of God’s power can be seen in His creation and every phase of it. This power touches our lives in ways we may
have not considered. I will like now to
share with you things I have picked up over the years in light of this; many
things which I have lost their source, so I cannot give them credit I am sorry
to say. Should I ever find this out in
the future I will edit this and hope to gain their permission and give them
their just credit.
This
first section of this chapter is excellent and will give you the reader a deep
respect of just how the Bible does address matter of science and is not as some
might think a book of only religious thought.
Science
and the Bible
Science means
knowledge, and true science always agrees with the observable evidence. Scientific research continues to unfold the
wonders and mysteries of our universe.
Interestingly, there is one book that has anticipated many of these
scientific facts. That book is the
Bible.
Many of these facts
were penned centuries before they were discovered. Scientific foreknowledge found only in the
Bible offers one more piece to the collective proof that the Bible is truly the
inspired Word of the Creator.
1. The earth
free-floats in space (Job 26:7), affected only by gravity. While other sources declared the earth sat on
the back of an elephant, or turtle, or was held up by Atlas, the Bible alone
states what we now know to be true...”He hangs the earth on nothing.”
2. Creation is made of particles, indiscernible
to our eyes (Hebrews 11:3). Not until
the 19th century was it discovered that all visible matter consists
of invisible elements.
3. The Bible specifies the perfect dimensions
for a stable water vessel (Genesis 6:15).
Ship builders today are well aware that the ideal dimension of ship
stability is a length six times that of the width. Keep in mind, God told Noah the ideal
dimension for the ark 4,500 years ago.
4. When dealing with disease, clothes and body
should be washed under running water (Leviticus 15:13). For centuries people naively washed in
standing water. Today we recognize the
need to wash away germs with fresh water.
5. Sanitation industry birthed (Deuteronomy
23:12-13). Some 3,500 years ago God
commanded His people to have a place outside the camp where they could relieve
themselves. They were to each carry a
shovel so that they could dig a hole (latrine) and cover their waste. Up until World War I, more soldiers died from
disease than war because they did not isolate human waste.
6. Oceans contained springs (Job 38:16). The ocean is very deep. Almost all the ocean floor is in total
darkness and the pressure there is enormous.
It would have been impossible for Job to have explored the “springs of
the sea.” Until recently, it was thought
that oceans were fed only by rivers and rain.
Yet in the 1970’s, with the help of deep diving research submarines that
were constructed to withstand 6,000 pounds-per-square-inch pressure,
oceanographers discovered springs on the ocean floors!
7. There are mountains on the bottom of the
ocean floor (Jonah 2:5-6). Only in the
last century have we discovered that there are towering mountains and deep
trenches in the depths of the sea.
8. Which came first, proteins or DNA (Revelation
4:11)? For evolutionists, the chicken or
egg dilemma goes even deeper. Chickens
consist of proteins. The code for each
protein is contained in the DNA/RNA system.
However, proteins are required in order to manufacture DNA. So which came first: protein or DNA? They ONLY explanation is that they were
created together.
9. Our bodies are made from the dust of the
ground (Genesis 2:7; 3:19). Scientists
have discovered that the human body is comprised of some 28 base and trace
elements – all of which are found in the earth.
10. Ocean currents anticipated (Psalm 8:8). Three thousand years ago the Bible described
the “paths of the seas.” In the 19th
century Matthew Maury – the father of oceanography – after reading Psalm 8,
researched and discovered ocean currents that follow specific paths through the
seas! Utilizing Maury’s data, marine
navigators have since reduced by many days the time required to traverse the
seas.
11. Vast fossil deposits anticipated (Genesis
7). When plants and animals die they
decompose rapidly. Yet billions of life
forms around the globe have been preserved as fossils. Geologists now know that fossils only form if
there is rapid deposition of life buried away from scavengers and
bacteria. This agrees exactly with what
the Bible says occurred during the global flood.
If there were a world
wide flood, what would you expect to find?
“Billions of dead things, buried in rock layers, laid down by water
all over the earth. What do you
find? Billions of dead things, buried in
rock layers, laid down by water all over the earth.” (this quote in dark ink
comes from Ken Ham of “Answers in Genesis.”)
12. The continents were created as one large land
mass (Genesis 1:9-10). Many geologists
agree there is strong evidence that the earth was originally one super
continent – just as the Bible said way back in Genesis.
13. Continent drift inferred (Genesis 7:11). Today the study of the ocean floor indicates
that the land masses have been ripped apart.
Scripture states that during the global flood the “Fountains of the great
deep were broken up.” This cataclysmic
event apparently resulted in the continental plates breaking and shifting.
14. Ice Age inferred (Job 38:29-30). Prior to the global Flood the earth was
apparently subtropical. However shortly
after the Flood, the Bible mentions ice often – “By the breath of God ice is
given, and the broad waters are frozen.” (Job 37:10). Evidently the Ice Age occurred in the
centuries following the Flood.
15. Black holes and dark matter anticipated
(Matthew 25:30; Jude 1:13; Isaiah 50:30).
Cosmologists now speculate that over 98% of the known universe is
comprised of dark matter, with dark energy and black holes. A black hole’s gravitational field is so
strong that nothing, not even light, escapes.
Beyond the expanding universe there is not measured radiation and
therefore only OUTER DARKNESS exists.
These theories paint a seemingly accurate description of what the Bible
calls “outer darkness” or “the blackness of darkness forever.”
16. The second Law of Thermodynamics (Entropy)
explained (Psalm 102:25-26). This Law
states that everything in the universe is running down, deteriorating, and
constantly becoming less and less orderly.
Entropy (disorder) entered when mankind rebelled against God – resulting
in the curse (Genesis 3:17; Romans 8:20-22).
Historically most people believed the universe was unchangeable. Yet modern science verifies that the universe
is “grow (ing) old like a garment’ (Hebrews 1:11). Evolution directly
contradicts this law.
17. The sun goes in a circuit (Psalm 19:6). Some scientists scoffed at this verse
thinking that it taught geocentricity – the theory that the sun revolves around
the earth. They insisted the sun was
stationary. However, we now know that
the sun is traveling through space at approximately 600,000 miles per
hour. It is literally moving through
space in a huge circuit – just as the Bible stated 3,000 years ago.
18. Light travels in a path (Job 38:19). Light is said to have a “way” (Hebrew,
literally a traveled path or road).
Until the 17th century it was believed that light was
transmitted instantaneously. We now know
that light is a form of energy that travels at 186,000 miles per second in a
straight line. Indeed, there is a “way”
of light.
19. Air has weight (Job 28:25). It was once thought that air was
weightless. Yet 4,000 years ago Job
declared that God established “a weight for the wind.” In recent years, meteorologists have
calculated that the average thunderstorm holds thousands of tons of rain. To carry this load, air must have mass.
20. Jet stream anticipated (Ecclesiastes 1:6) At
a time when it was thought that wind blew straight, the Bible declares “The
wind goes towards the south, and turns around to the north; The wind whirls
about continually, and comes again on its circuit.” King Solomon wrote this 3,000 years ago. Now consider this: it was not until World War
II that airmen discovered the jet stream circuit.
MORE TO SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE:
I now would like to
share few thoughts of what I personally got out of these 20 things above.
More to # 16....
We at one point in our
experienced discovered gravity. You jump
off a cliff you crash to the ground and usually die. So, we gain more insight and discovered the
law of Lift; airplanes, gliders, parachutes etc. Then later on we discovered the law of
Thrust. We got to where we could over
ride the law of gravity, lift, and by shear thrust get beyond our gravitational
field and reach free floating in space.
We are discovering other laws in this environment of space. Great!!
There appears to be higher and higher laws, one built upon another. We wonder if there is a law above all these
known and still yet unknown laws that one day we could say, this is the
Ultimate law of all laws.
One point I wish to
share. All the laws that we have thus
far discovered are all “STILL IN THIS BOX” of time, space and the
material. What do I mean?
Hear it....”There is a
length, height, breadth and depth of this experience (Box)....yet, there is
that which passes all human experience possible ever in this box; beyond
parallel worlds, or dimensions in this box (depths) which there are. Beyond anything we could ever image. Reflecting more on the above article; The
second Law of Thermodynamics (Entropy) explained (Psalm 102:25‑26). This Law
states that everything in the universe is running down, deteriorating,
constantly becoming less and less orderly. Entropy (disorder) entered when
mankind rebelled against God – resulting in the curse (Genesis 3:17; Romans
8:20‑22). Historically most people believed the universe was unchangeable. Yet
modern science verifies that the universe is “grow (ing) old like a garment”
(Hebrews 1:11). Evolution directly contradicts this law. If this law is correct, that everything in this
universe is running down, deteriorating, constantly becoming less and less
orderly, than laws are changing even before we discover them. The cause and effect universe we are paying
so much attention to with a “Steadfast gaze” upon that seen, rather than upon
what we were called to focus more on in scriptures, the UNSEEN, that seen
universe is coming to an end.
Well, they say that
this won’t occur in your life time or mine....why worry! I’m not saying this. What I am saying isn’t to cause worry or even
suggest that it might occur in our life time.
That isn’t the point. The point
of what I am saying, as I have had it said to me, is that we are placing HOPE
in this Seen, a seen that is slowly dying.
You can understand what Paul the Apostle meant when he said, “Hope in
not in the seen, but that Unseen.” What
caused Paul to say this, and was he thinking of what I am thinking of in light
of this law of thermodynamics discovered in our age? Hear what he said that makes me know that he
was thinking along these lines; maybe
not in the words of this Law of Thermodynamics, but in the words that God gave
him of this truth about this universe.
Hear what Paul was given....”God has subjected this Universe to
Futility.” Understand this word
“Futility”: The dictionary definition
is...”something useless or vain.”
Here is the Greek use
in Romans 8:20 using the word vanity which is also translated futility....
what
is devoid of truth and appropriateness perverseness, depravity frailty, devoid
of force, truth, success, result useless.
What
is it that Paul saw that God said about this universe? What could have been a good witness of God at
one time, before the fall of Adam, now would not be. God deliberately set things into motions so
that the SEEN would not yield to mankind the answers he so desperately would
seek to find out, not only of the origin of this universe but also his own
origin. The word “subject” carries the
idea that mankind would fight this.....to be a subordinate to God, dependent
upon Him for final answers to this matter of origins. To subject one’s self opinions to the
opinions of One of greater knowledge and insights; dependent upon this ONE for
admonition and advice as to the origins of all that we see and true Hope.
I can’t wait for them
to discover that which this universe has been subject to, an “Unreality,” (which
a deeper Greek rendering of futility means), beyond aliens etc. and yield to
what God has said which would yield hope not only beyond this life but also in
this life. Don’t see it as something
cruel from God. As I just expressed,
this was done “In Hope”....how so? So
that men would not come to the conclusions that we see they have come to,
placing their main focus of hope in the Seen and not on that Unseen. If they would take their hope to its conclusion
beyond seeing something that is dying, see what is written, “that they are in this
world without God and without hope, the Hope that God intended would come to
not only give them hope beyond this life but the life that now is. You hear this hope in Paul’s
statement....”Body exercise profits little, but Godliness is profitable in this
life and the life to come.”
Note this is not some
religious idea of hope either; those who would sit on the roof waiting for
Jesus to comehaving no hope in this life at all. What God has to offer is what Philosophers have been looking for, for
centuries...a unified field of knowledge that gives meaning to this life and that life to come. Not one eating
up the other, thus ending up in what I have, and others have called, a closed system. A system that thinks to
leave God out of the picture or changes His image after what we see in this decaying universe, thus false
science, not true science, thinking things are evolving higher, thus not running down, as True science says it is.
